今年は昨年を上回るご応募をいただき、各国から個性豊かな作品が多数寄せられました✨

ドッジボールをしているお友達の顔が赤いです。
ボールを投げるのが速くて、逃げるのもヒュルッと逃げて当たらないで、かっこいいです。

水中にどちらが長く潜れるか、競争する時の顔がゆらゆらしています。
時々、変な顔をして笑わせてきます。
This is my friend from swim school.When we compete to see who can stay underwater the longest, our faces look wavy.Sometimes he makes funny faces to make me laugh.

JIA Future Artists Award 2025では、国際的に活躍するアーティスト・イラストレーターが審査員を務めました。
ここでは、6–8歳部門 金賞を受賞した Ikkei Harada さんの作品に寄せられたコメントをご紹介します。
一慶さんの描くキャラクターたちは、生き生きとした個性と大胆な線と色彩でページから飛び出してくるように描かれています。背景にも同様の配慮が行き届いているところが気に入っています。
Ikkei’s characters jump off the page with their vibrant personalities and bold lines and colors. I love the way the artist considers the backgrounds with equal attention.
一慶の作品は、温かさ、ユーモア、そして好奇心に溢れています。目に見えない友人を想像する作品であれ、表情豊かな肖像画を通して現実の仲間を称える作品であれ、彼の的確な筆致と色彩の選択は、あらゆる人物に個性と生命力を与えています。遊び心のあるディテールや色彩の選択を通して、感情を観察し、描き出す彼の能力は、彼の年齢にしては稀有な繊細さと物語を語る本能を示しています。真に魅力的で、まとまりのある作品群です。一慶が、作品に表れる大胆な自信を、芸術の道を歩み続ける中で、さらに発展させてくれることを願っています。

彼がまだ7歳だなんて信じられません。シンプルなテーマですが、とても上手に表現されていました。3つの作品に一貫したスタイルとコンセプトがあり、アンディ・ウォーホルやミシェル・ジャン・バスキアを彷彿とさせました。それぞれのキャラクターが、それぞれ異なる感情と背景を持ち、それぞれの友人たちの個性を巧みに表現しています。大胆な筆致と大きな表情が、とてもユニークです。
I can’t believe he is only 7. It is a simple subject but he expressed it very well.Consistent style and concept of 3 art pieces reminded me of Andy Warhol and Michel Jean Basquiat.Each character with unique emotions and different background describes each friend’s different identity well. Very unique bold strokes and big faces.
