Artist's comments

'Landscape One' is a series that portrays the journey of an inquisitive adventurer, guided by natural spirits, in search of a record of the lost human civilisation. This work envisages a new form of communication between Nature and humanity in a post-civilisation world. It provides insight into the ideal Nature-Human relationship, leaving the audience with the profound question: what could we do to foster a harmonious coexistence in a world beyond the remnants of our current civilisation?

The angles and lighting in the paintings are carefully considered, with colors that are fresh. The brushstrokes used to depict textures are exceptionally well-executed, bringing each element to life. The thoughtful use of perspective and light adds depth and dimension to the scenes, enhancing their overall impact. The blend of refreshing and nostalgic colors creates a unique visual experience that is both timeless and contemporary. The artist's skill in capturing textures with precise brushwork further elevates the quality of the artwork, making each piece truly remarkable.

These atmospheric illustrations depict fantastical environments that spark curiosity about the world of the story. The painting techniques used create a light and clean style, enhanced by fresh, vibrant colors.

The imaginative world in GwenPhoo's illustration are very engaging. The magical landscapes, characters, fantasy creature and architecture are well designed.

Good work on outlining and shading, neat and beautiful scenery, nice design of the bird in "landscape one #03". The compositions are well done, great domain in the color palette and its congruent in all the works. There are two inconsistencies that Gwen could easily solve with her great talent, and she could pay attention to strengthen her art: in "landscape one #01" the perspective of the floor in relation to the elements, such as the maps and the lower lamp, fails, the elements require a more zenithal angle to have an appropriate contact with the floor. And the other observation is about the main character, in the 3 works, seems like 3 different characters. It is essential that the character remains the same so that it does not lose credibility, unless it is part of the story, such as the passage from childhood to adulthood, but if not, the character's design must be taken care of so that it convinces, that it has the identity and strength to communicate its story, and that it does not appear as a mistake.
