審査員評We are used to the fact that the decorative style is quite static and often lacks emotion. But not in the works of Linsen Fan! His illustrations are in rapid motion: dance, wind, thunderclouds, the flight of a flock of birds... It seems that if you come close enough, you will be picked up by a gust of wind and carried away to these strange creatures and gods, standing in Chinese mythology at the origins of the creation of the world. Ekaterina Borodacheva I really enjoy how Linsen Fan visualizes Chinese mythology with such bold colors and imaginative forms. Each painting feels like a powerful storybook page, full of symbolism and movement. The stylized characters, especially the hybrid creatures, are super memorable. I also like how the compositions feel rhythmic and dynamic, which makes the whole series very engaging and unique. Max Liu The artist skillfully uses form and color to let viewers grasp that the illustration is telling an ancient myth, even without words. Various techniques are employed effectively, blending together in a natural, seamless way. The flowing curves throughout the composition bring a sense of movement to the scene. Moon Q Linsen Fan’s work demonstrates a confident sense of form and structure. The stylization skillfully balances simplification and nuance, creating figures that feel both playful and intentional. Watercolor textures bring warmth and spontaneity to the compositions, while the overall clarity of design keeps the images focused and coherent. The result is a quietly expressive series that feels complete in both concept and execution. Nadiia Zhelieznova This group of works is unified in style and shows a high degree of coherence, with a visual narrative that unfolds in layers through carefully designed compositions, resembling ancient mythological stories through the lens of film. In addition, the author's choice of primitive mineral colours - ochre, earthy yellow and indigo - creates a sense of age, reminiscent of the timeless beauty of cave paintings, while striking a delicate balance between traditional and modern visual languages.
