Judges' commentsAt first it seems that you are looking at a glossy page. External aesthetics, bright prints of silk draperies. But this is not a fashion illustration but rather an unusual artistic technique. The ability to demonstrate how lazy the human eye can be. The viewer who pays attention to the catchy template often does not consider comprehending what it sees. After all, if you listen to the author and your feelings, it becomes clear that behind the decorative facade there is deep psychology, reflections on self-identification, and the philosophical search of the artist. Ekaterina Borodacheva Super polished rendering, and the composition creates a strong, engaging rhythm. The flowing fabric brings great movement, and I really like how the lighting and color choices guide the eye. The concept of duality comes through clearly, and the overall execution feels so thoughtful and refined. Max Liu The textures of the character’s hair, scarf, and flowers are rendered with great delicacy. The vivid colors and the finely detailed scarf that encircles the central figure help draw the viewer’s focus. The two inverted faces, subtly connected at the lips, create a strong symbolic effect. Moon Q This work by anotherericcandraw draws the viewer into a richly staged moment of duality and connection. The composition is both intimate and theatrical, with an almost surreal symmetry created by the two mirrored figures. Hyperrealistic skin tones contrast with vibrant textile patterns and digitally smoothed surfaces, merging fashion, portraiture, and fantasy. There's a cinematic stillness, yet also tension in the gaze and the lighting — as if we’re witnessing the aftermath or the beginning of something unspoken. Nadiia Zhelieznova The artist's work reflects his sensitivity to fashion, meticulous attention to psychological reality and critical contemplation of self-identity. His artistic and aesthetic preferences are evident in the shaping of the subjects, the arrangement of light and shadow, and his choice of colours. I am also fascinated by the silky texture of the background beneath the subject; to me, the artist's grasp of its fluidity seems to be a record of the dynamics of self-consciousness. Yimin Wang |
