Judges' commentsIn her series of illustrations, Rainy presents two separate themes—heavenly and earthly. And they are surprisingly organically combined with each other. If you browse through the artworks in order, you might think that the artist's intention is to show how much in common there really is between the birth of a child and the formation of a galaxy. That we are all particles of the universe. I like the wavy, viscous style in which Rainy works. It creates a kind of hypnotic effect. Ekaterina Borodacheva Raniy’s work leans heavily into decorative aesthetics, with clear echoes of Klimt. Strong use of color and varied shape language bring rhythm to the compositions. I really enjoy the serene and mysterious atmosphere across the series. Max Liu The artwork exhibits a highly aesthetic and graceful style. Both the lines and the colors evoke a sense of mystery and classical beauty, reminiscent of delicate, colored murals. The fusion of warm and cool tones is smooth and harmonious. Additionally, the use of darker backgrounds in parts of the composition enhances the immersive quality of the piece while maintaining a sense of openness and breathability. Moon Q Rainy’s series immerses the viewer in a symbolic world of femininity, transformation, and cosmic connection. Through soft gradients, intricate linework, and ornamental rhythms, the artist merges the body with nature and myth. The compositions flow like visual poetry — faces, wombs, and waves blend into cyclical structures of life and memory. Despite the density of detail, the images breathe, allowing room for reflection. This work offers a personal yet archetypal narrative about birth, intuition, and the mystery of inner worlds. Nadiia Zhelieznova From a macroscopic point of view, the artist attempts to grasp the subtle connection between the universe and the exterior of feminine figure. From a microscopic point of view, she explores the unique richness of the inner world of female image as individuals, independent of "the Other", using a soft and introverted artistic language to convey symbolism.
