審査員評The artworks of Jing Cui, with their cozy retro flavor, briefly returned me to my childhood. At that moment, while leafing through my favorite picture books, I dreamed of one day becoming an illustrator. I love how sincerely and easily the author tells her stories in pictures. This is where true mastery lies! Ekaterina Borodacheva Jing's lovely world of little people creates a warm and immersive vibe. I can sense the happiness and harmony through the strong narratives in the series. On top of that, the effective use of textures and solid image compositions play a vital role in guiding the viewer’s eye to read and follow those narratives. Max Liu The "big people" and "little people" living in the same world seem to have their own roles and work, making viewers want to step into their world and see their lives. The variation in line thickness gives the illustration a sense of rhythm, while the rich colors remain harmonious rather than chaotic. Moon Q Jing Cui’s work presents a light yet intentional visual language built around multi-figure composition, shifting scale, and playful rhythm. The series frames everyday moments from a miniature perspective, balancing irony and emotional subtlety. Color is used with clarity and restraint, contributing to an overall sense of openness. The artist’s background in new media and visual communication translates here into illustrations that feel both observational and personally grounded. Nadiia Zhelieznova This group of works is a delightful humorous exploration of ‘big and small’. The deliberately exaggerated scale relationships are like a modern version of Gulliver's Travels, while the visual atmosphere created by the high brightness and warm colours gives this ‘game of zoom in and zoom out’ a healing energy. The viewer smiles as if the burden of reality can be lifted, and the pressure and haze of life quietly melts away in this coloured fairy tale land. Perhaps this is the reason why contemporary people need the art of illustration - it not only gives us visual pleasure, but also provides a spiritual habitat for the mind to return to childlike innocence.
